Your Mind Fully Present, is  both a free, fun e-newsletter and blog that will help you to invite mindfulness and inner peace into your day 

 

In our fast-paced, ever-changing world, it’s easy to feel swept away. But when we slow down, ground ourselves in the present, and become aware of the moment, clarity, peace, and even joy become possible

I've learned that when I pause, connect with my breath, and tune into my thoughts and heart, stress melts away. Even the smallest moments become sources of gratitude, answers feel clearer, and life regains its balance.

Through this newsletter, I’ll share mindfulness tips, personal stories, and simple practices to help you stay present, find calm, and maybe even share a laugh—because through mindfulness, we can discover clarity, joy, peace  and even moments of laughter in the power of our breath, thoughts, and love.

Happy Fall—how is it here already? Do you feel like time is moving faster? I sure do, and I hear it from people around me too. There’s so much heightened energy right now.

 

This month’s theme is all about slowing down and rediscovering our humanity in the pause. In the pause, we connect to our heart, our own inner truth, divine wisdom, love, and clarity. We can use discernment, think critically, and find unity instead of division.

This Month’s Theme: Finding Humanity and Discernment in the Pause

 
On the blog, I share simple, step-by-step tools you can use in the middle of your busy day to pause, reset, and reconnect. In the pause, we return to our heart, our own inner truth, and the clarity and intuitive wisdom that guide us forward.

 

The pause doesn’t silence your voice—it strengthens it, filling it with inner calm, compassion, discernment, and love. We don’t need to agree on everything, but we can choose kindness, conversation, and wisdom over fear and division.

 

As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. reminded us:

This month I held workshops with kids and families—teaching tools to reset, find calm, and focus. When kids and adults practice together, it creates coregulation at home and in classrooms. During the workshops I cover tips and tools kids can use in their daily routine. Reiki Sessions and the Olos Method

 

I’ve also guided some powerful Reiki sessions recently—both group and one-on-one—some have focused on release and letting go, rebalancing, and reconnecting to love and calm.

 

Some people find the sessions more emotional, some more physical and others more spiritual, but everyone gets exactly what is right for them at that moment.  Each session is personalized with a blend of modalities.

I hope this edition finds everyone happy and well. With the end of summer, many of us are entering a season of transition—back to school, shifting routines, or maybe a busier workload. Either way, it’s a good time to pause and check in with ourselves.

Even though I live by this, I still catch myself slipping into old thought loops sometimes. The difference now? I notice it more quickly, and I can shift. A little gratitude, a positive thought, or a simple affirmation can truly change my energy and my day.

Fun News: Workshops & Reiki Meditations

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This month, I held a Mindful Owl Adventures workshop on thoughts and affirmations.

 

Why Affirmations?

 

The words kids say to themselves can change their brains!

 

Affirmations are short, positive phrases that help kids build confidence, calm, and resilience. When repeated often, they can rewire the brain for self-belief, emotional regulation, and kindness.

 

They give children tools to face challenges with courage and to feel safe, loved, and empowered.

 

We made affirmation bracelets with words like “happy,” “brave,” and “strong.” One girl even chose her name—standing in her own power. It was such a beautiful reminder of how simple tools can help kids feel safe, grounded, and strong.

 

These workshops give kids simple tools to feel safe, grounded, and connected to their inner strength.

Sometimes it’s hard to notice where our thoughts and emotions are showing up in our body. I’ve included a guided Body Scan Meditation to help you calm your nervous system, notice where thoughts and feelings are showing up in your body, and make room for new, empowering thoughts to grow.

 

I originally made it for kids, but it’s just as powerful for adults—and it’s wonderful to do together with any child (or adult) in your life.

Some days, it’s simply remembering to be present. Other days, I catch myself wishing the world felt a little lighter. But no matter what’s swirling, I return to this: pause, breathe, connect to the heart, and find even one moment of love or joy.

This month, I had the joy of leading my first Mindful Owl Adventures author visit featuring the new edition!

 

We read the story together and explored simple but powerful ideas, such as:

 

  • Our breath is one of the fastest ways to calm and focus our minds and bodies.

  • Emotions are energy in motion—and even the biggest feelings can settle when we pause and breathe.

Extra-Calming Breath: 4-7-8 Technique


A powerful practice to ground and settle your system:

 

  •        Inhale through your nose for 4 counts

  •        Hold your breath for 7 counts

  •        Exhale through your mouth for 8 counts (slow and steady)

 

Repeat 3–4 times. Feel your body relax and your mind begin to settle.

Whether you’re new here or have been walking this path with me for a while, I’m so glad you’re here.

 

Your Mind Fully Present is back—with simple tools, heartfelt (and sometimes comical) reflections, and fun updates to help you navigate life with more ease, joy, and empowerment.

 

I’ve taken a long pause (pun intended) since my last newsletter. In that time, I’ve earned new certifications, worked with more clients, and deepened my own practice. These experiences continue to add meaning and richness to everything I share.

 

As many of you know, energy work, mindfulness, meditation, breathwork, yoga, and sound healing have become true passions of mine. I’ve seen how these practices gently support healing and transformation—not only in my life, but in the lives of my family, students, and clients.

 

It’s an honor to share what I’ve learned. My hope is that these tools help you feel more grounded, supported, and empowered in your own journey—whether that’s through healing, parenting, work, or play.
